    Acceptance Insurance currently has an opening for a full time Recruiter to join our HR/Talent Acquisition team at the Corporate Office located in Nashville (Green Hills area).     Job Summary:

    Our Recruiters provide consulting and guidance in hiring initiatives by identifying, analyzing, and addressing issues and/or conflicts which affect talent acquisition. Our Recruiters are responsible for supporting recruitment efforts by using passive and direct sourcing techniques and seeking new methods and innovative solutions to identify and attract the best quality prospective candidates. Strong sourcing background is preferred. Retail recruiting experience is a definite plus.

    Company Overview:

    We are principally a retailer, servicer and underwriter of non-standard personal automobile insurance based in Nashville, Tennessee. Our insurance operations actively generate revenues from selling non-standard personal automobile insurance policies and related products in 15 states. We currently conduct our servicing and underwriting operations in 15 states.

     

    Acceptance Insurance leased and operated 349 retail locations and a call center staffed with employee-agents. Our employee agents primarily sell non-standard personal automobile insurance products underwritten by us, as well as certain commissionable ancillary products. In most states, our employee-agents also sell a complementary insurance product providing personal property and liability coverage for renters underwritten by us. In addition, retail locations in some markets offer non-standard personal automobile insurance serviced and underwritten by other third-party insurance carriers for which we receive a commission. In addition to our retail locations, we are able to complete the entire sales process over the phone via our call center or through the internet via our consumer-based website or mobile platform. On a limited basis, we also sell our products through selected retail locations operated by independent agents.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct research and ongoing recruitment activities to identify and attract highly competitive candidates for non-exempt and exempt positions
    • Develop a network both inside and outside the industry; develop and maintain relationships with potential candidates
    • Solicit candidates utilizing employment advertisements, internal and external position postings, the Internet, relevant websites, cold calling, and any other appropriate resources as necessary
    • Coordinate the college recruiting process; attend career fairs at local universities along with other department associates as needed
    • Review resumes and employment applications and conduct screening interviews; document all phases of the recruitment process
    • Set up interviews for qualified candidates with appropriate staff members; create and coordinate interview schedules
    • Update the applicant tracking system and any other HRIS systems, as appropriate, so information regarding candidates can be easily retrieved
    • Coordinate communication with and correspondence to all candidates regarding receipt of resumes and notification of positions filled
    • Identify and implement new and creative methods to source qualified candidates; strategize with hiring managers/supervisors and the HR team to attract top external talent
    • Research industry competitive intelligence and analyze and report on market trends
    • Develop and maintain an understanding of recruitment best practices, and make appropriate recommendations based on business needs

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
    • Five years of professional recruitment experience, including national search experience, in a corporate environment or with an executive search firm conducting contingent and/or retained searches required. Insurance industry or other service industry experience preferred
    • Proven ability to utilize multiple sourcing techniques and to determine if candidates are qualified for open positions, are a good culture match for the Company, and are the right fit for the hiring unit/department
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel required
    • Proven client management skills; experience with building effective relationships, credibility and rapport with business partners and leaders in a corporate setting
    • Strong attention to detail required
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have a strong ability to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority and urgency
    • Drive to deliver results, take accountability and ownership of work, and strive for continuous improvement
    • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required
    • Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed
    • Must have an understanding of the legal implications and requirements related to recruitment and employment processes
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
